We are so happy to share that 81 Renshaw is our new stockist!
81 Renshaw is a building steeped in rich history. In the 1980’s the upstairs offices where home to Mersey Beat, a magazine covering the burgeoning music scene in the city of the time. The Beatles were very close to the magazine and would frequent the building. For that reason it has become somewhat of a tourist attraction as part of The Beatles walking tour.
The record shop opened in 2016 in the basement of the music venue and cafe of the same name. During lockdown, the venues owner, Neil Tilley decided to go full force as a record store so converted the venue and cafe spaces into a vinyl utopia.
We now have 2 rooms, the front, home to new releases and the back, home to 2nd hand vinyl. The store is also home to 9×9 Records an exciting, young record label that has been putting out a slue of excellent releases from gifted talents since 2020.
Go check them out if you’re in Liverpool!
